Do I need to book, or can I just walk in?

Walk-ins are always welcome at TJ Barber, seven days a week. Mondays and Tuesdays are walk-in only. From Wednesday to Sunday you can book online and pay a £10 deposit, or ring your barber and ask about a walk-in. The balance is paid in cash in store.

How does the £10 deposit work?

The deposit secures your slot and comes off your final bill. For example, a £28 haircut and beard with the blade is £10 online and £18 in cash when you visit. Deposits are not refundable, so please only book a time you can make. Need a different time? Ring us at least 24 hours ahead and we will move it, and your deposit moves with you.

Which barber does which services?

Everyone on the team takes gents haircuts, beards and shaves. Highlights, colour and darkening tints are with Tony. Ladies' haircuts, makeup and the facial and head massage are with Jess. Pick your barber when you book and you will see their menu.

Where are you in Newcastle?

We are at 177 Coast Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE7 7RR, between Benton and High Heaton. There is free parking nearby and the Coast Road bus routes stop outside.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes. Kids under ten are £15 for a regular cut or £16 for a skin fade. We are patient, friendly and quick, so the little ones enjoy it.

How do the sunbeds work?

Sunbed sessions are walk-in only. Our team will advise on the right session length for your skin type. Beds are cleaned between every use and maintained to the highest standard.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Saturday 9:00am to 6:30pm and Sunday 9:00am to 4:00pm. Mondays and Tuesdays are walk-in only. Wednesday to Sunday takes online bookings, and walk-ins by phone.
